Typography

Serif - Having corners - by ancient times

  • Old style - Adobe Jenson
  • Transitional - Times New Roman
  • Modern - Didot 
  • Slab-Serif - American Typewriter - Newspaper printing

San serif - Modern than Serif

  • Grotesque - New Gothic
  • Neo Grotesque - Helvetica
  • Humanist - Gill Sans
  • Geometric  - Futura
consider about open spaces

  • Give headings in serifs and body in san serif or vice versa.
  • Do not give the same style for both headings and body.
  • do not use too many fonts
  • only use good 2 different fonts.
